Property Taxes...How Much Will I Pay In Louisville

What are property taxes in the Louisville and surrounding area?

The simplest estimate is to say it will run about .9% of your sale price. If you purchase a home for $240,000, your annual property tax bill will run about $2,160. This covers the County tax rate.

If the home you purchase also sits in another tax municipality (an incorporated sixth class city, for example), the tax rate will go up to about 1% to 1.1%. That should cover it.

If you’re from the Northern states, you’re going to be VERY happy with our property tax structure. It will run about 25% to 30% of what you’re used to.
